Başpınar Karaca Highland
Başpınar Karaca Yaylası is a highland pasture roughly 8 km from the Başpınar township of Osmancık district, surrounded by extensive pine forest. Featured under “Camping” on the Turkey Culture Portal, the highland has a 15-kilometre trekking route that runs entirely through forested terrain.
Nature and Camping
The dense pine forest and cool air make the highland a popular spot for tent camping in the summer months. According to local news (Yayla Haber), infrastructure at the highland is largely complete and the area is well suited for setting up camp; its suitability for camping and picnicking draws both local residents and visiting nature enthusiasts.
Connection to the Walking Trails
The highland lies on one of the official day-hike routes of the Kızılırmak Basin Gastronomy and Walking Trail, the “İnegöl Fire Lookout Tower–Karaca Highland” route (11 km), making it part of Çorum’s marked hiking network.
Highland Festival
