Fazlalar Konağı
Fazlalar Konağı is a historic mansion in the Ulaştepe neighborhood of İskilip district, owned by İskilip Municipality. The municipality describes it as one of the most valuable buildings reflecting the town’s cultural fabric.
Restoration
The restoration project prepared by İskilip Municipality was approved by the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKAP). The project was included in the Ministry of Industry and Technology’s 2026 investment program and published in the Official Gazette. In March 2026, İskilip Mayor İsmail Çizikci announced that the mansion would be restored to its original form while preserving its authentic structure.
Planned Use
According to Mayor Çizikci’s statement, Fazlalar Konağı is intended to be converted into a boutique hotel once restoration is complete. As with the Çatalkara Kültür ve Sanat Evi and Yazmalı Konak in İskilip’s Temenna area, this project is part of a broader effort to bring the district’s historic mansions into tourism, similar to the recent conversion of another Çorum mansion into a boutique hotel in the city center.
