Çorum Millet Bahçesi and Kentpark
Kentpark, interwoven with the Millet Bahçesi (People’s Garden), forms the largest recreational area in Çorum. Designed as one of the biggest green investments in the city’s history on a 157-decare site, the Kentpark project fundamentally changed the city’s open-air culture.
Kentpark: The City’s Sea
At the heart of Kentpark lies a large artificial lake at the city scale:
- Artificial lake and beach — the seasonal artificial beach, under the motto “sea fun in a city without a sea,” is a refuge for locals in summer
- Walking and cycling paths — a loop around the lake
- Picnic and family areas — shaded spots, children’s playgrounds
- Cafés and social facilities

The Millet Bahçesi within Kentpark is operated by the municipality’s facilities unit and is open every day from 08:00 to 24:00:

On summer evenings the Millet Bahçesi fills with concerts, family events and performances — the open-air leg of the city’s cultural calendar.
100th Anniversary People’s Park
In May 2025, a second people’s garden, the 100th Anniversary People’s Park, also opened, adding a new link to Çorum’s green fabric with areas for all age groups.
How to Get There
Kentpark is located in Çepni Mahallesi, northeast of the centre, a 10-minute ride by city transport. It is within walking distance of AHL Park shopping mall — a shopping-and-park day can be combined in a single route.
